About the Role
Flamingo Flowers is seeking a reliable and hardworking Hygiene Operative to join our team in Sandy. This role is vital in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and housekeeping across our site, helping to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant working environment for all employees.

You will be responsible for cleaning production and welfare areas, responding to spillages, supporting hygiene audits, and ensuring hygiene standards are consistently maintained both inside and outside the facility.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out cleaning duties across production, welfare, and external site areas.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness in welfare facilities, including canteens, toilets, and smoking shelters.
Respond promptly to spillages and ensure areas are made safe and cleaned efficiently.
Operate cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbers, where required.
Remove waste correctly and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
Assist with maintaining hygiene standards around production lines and machinery.
Support site hygiene audits and ensure cleaning schedules are completed on time.
Handle cleaning chemicals safely in accordance with COSHH procedures.
Assist with stock checks, ordering cleaning supplies, and receiving deliveries.
Follow all Health & Safety procedures, Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), and PPE requirements.
Promote and support the company's "Clean as You Go" culture.
What We're Looking For
Good level of English, literacy, and numeracy skills.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
Flexible and proactive approach to work.
Previous cleaning, hygiene, facilities, housekeeping, or industrial cleaning experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
