Job Title: Packhouse Team Leader
Report to: Packhouse Supervisor
Job Purpose
To assist the Manufacturing Supervisor in the day to day running of the Pack house supporting and assisting the key staff and ensuring all duties are carried out correctly and efficiently, also enforcing the companies procedures and policies.
Dimensions of the Job
Line process: Responsible for controlling all aspects of labelling/production and/or decant processes and controls within the company’s existing policies and procedures.
Communication: Maintain a high level of communication with all other areas of the operation
Principle Accountabilities
To ensure accuracy of all plans and that the systems are in place to capture waste, ensure correct labels are made and distributed via your team.
To ensure efficiency targets per hour standards are met and are improved
To ensure all product labels are received and accepted in line with the current product specification
To complete all necessary tasks such as pit stops, escalation of issues, 5 S audits and SIC control boards.
To report serious disciplinary issues to a supervisor / manager
Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications
Computer proficiency preferable
Must have sound administrative skills
Must have a flexible approach to work
Some previous experience preferable
Be familiar with and have a good understanding of ERP systems

Dimensions of the Job
Line Process: Responsible for controlling the aspects of Pallet Labelling / packing processes and controls within the company’s existing policies and procedures.
Paperwork/ Equipment: Responsible for inputting the correct equipment and ensuring the stock is processed and recorded properly in prophet.
ERP: Responsible for maintaining any processing of information within our ERP system (Prophet)
Principle Accountabilities
To ensure accuracy of all decant jobs, capturing waste and making sure correct labels and product is packed correctly.
Ensure a comprehensive handover is given to all shifts and departments within operations if required
To ensure all paperwork relevant to your position is filled out correctly and filed
To ensure all health and safety policies are adhered to in all areas at all times
Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications
Computer proficiency
Must have sound administrative skills
Must have a flexible approach to work
Good communication skills required
Must have a good understanding of ERP systems

Line process: Responsible for supplying and taking away product, customer equipment as well as rubbish/empty boxes and adhering to the company’s policies and procedures.
Must hold a valid POEP/forklift truck licence, use this proficiently and most importantly use it in a safe manner. Load, unload, and transport produce within the warehouse and production areas.

To ensure accuracy of all plans and that the systems are in place to capture waste, ensure correct labels are printed and distributed via your team to the production lines
To ensure timely and accurate plans are achieved
To complete stock takes and ensure transfers are done correctly and efficiently
To complete all plans and reports in an accurate and timely manner
To ensure all health and safety policies are always adhered to in all areas
To report machine faults immediately to engineering department
Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications
Printroom processing experience is desirable
Computer proficiency preferable
Must have sound administrative skills
Must have a flexible approach to work
